Meet Your Travel Curators
Hi! We’re Cindy and Tera, the travel pros (and moms!) behind Send Me A Postcard.
We met through a mutual friend, and before long we were off on adventures together a couple of times a year. Along the way, we quickly realized how much we both loved diving into the planning process: hunting for unique experiences, swapping our favorite must-see spots, and sharing stories about unforgettable restaurants and hidden gems we had discovered on past travels.
Tera has lived on both coasts and explored cities and hidden gems across the U.S., Japan, and Europe. Cindy has crisscrossed 46 states plus Washington, D.C., trekked through 18 major U.S. National Parks, and adventured across British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Mexico, and numerous destinations throughout Europe.
Meet Tera
Traveling has always been part of Tera’s heartbeat. She comes alive meeting new people, discovering local traditions, savoring regional foods, and immersing herself in the culture of every place she visits. Whether she is wandering through bustling city streets, exploring quiet coastal towns, or getting lost in mountain villages, she is constantly seeking authentic experiences and the stories behind them. She loves listening to locals, learning the reasons behind their customs, and finding the hidden spots that rarely make it into guidebooks. Bringing those stories home through conversations, photos, and shared experiences and using them to spark curiosity, empathy, and genuine connection is one of her greatest joys.
Meet Cindy
Cindy has been researching new travel destinations since the age of eight. In third grade, her class learned how to write inquiry letters and address envelopes. Their assignment was to choose a U.S. state and write to its tourism office. Although she cannot remember the very first state she contacted, she vividly remembers the excitement of receiving that first big packet of information. She was so fascinated by learning about new places that she wrote to every state, and those packets quickly became her prized possessions.
When Cindy shared that story with Tera, something clicked. Tera saw immediately what Cindy had been quietly living all along: a deep, lifelong love of travel and a rare gift for planning it well. It did not take long for the conversation to turn into a realization that this was something Cindy was meant to do. It was also something they wanted to build together. Send Me A Postcard was born.
We strongly believe in the power of a passport. It is so much more than a little book; it is an invitation to see the world through new perspectives. Every day, we are energized by dreaming, researching, and planning travel that helps people step outside their zip code, connect with new cultures, and experience the transformative magic of exploring the world.
If you’re ready to travel without the overwhelm, we’d love to help make your next trip something truly special.
